The Lions are Turkeys (Detroit Trip Part Two)

On the morning of Thanksgiving Day, Detroit holds a run/race called the Turkey Trot.

Of course, i felt like a flabby slouch watching racers run by as i was chowing down on a breakfast buffet at the renaissance hotel. I hate running, but it seemed like fun as some runners were passing by dressed as santas, reindeer, and other seasonal characters. The runners blaze down the detroit riverside.

First activity of the day was to head on the detroit people mover, which we (the family) likes to jokingly call the detroit people mugger.

After hoping off of the mugger, we stopped at an outside skating rink/tree light area.

It is now a Family tradition to head to Detroit on Thanksgiving Day and watch the parade, followed up by a Detroit Lions football game. The weather was perfect for a parade, and the coolest thing (in my opinion) was the unicyclists (yah - the biker likes the unicyclists.. BIG SUPRISE).

I have to admit. I laughed my butt off when i saw CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS heading down WOODWARD with a big plunger in his hands....

Next, was the LIONS game.
Enter at your OWN RISK!

Here are the Kittens (aka Lions) getting ready for the kickoff-

Following the Halftime show of Jesse McCartney - we had a good dinner at the HARD ROCK.

I love Detroit.
