Parts hanging out in Louisville

Sheesh. The parts that were supposed to arrive today just got delayed AGAIN! New ETA is Tuesday.. what the crap?!? i know what website i am not going to ever order parts from again! it was my first and last purchase from them.

i rode burchfield trail in lansing and sleepy hollow state park today. burchfield is very advanced, and a lot of fun. I have the bruises to prove it. burchfield is a great challenge, that would be easier after riding it a couple of times.

sleepy hollow trail is great to get some fast and easy mileage under your belt. Burchfield ended up being about 4 miles in advanced trail, and sleepy hollow was 9 miles.

so folks - no new parts, no new pics, no happy camper today.

T minus one day

I received word that my internet ordered parts are to arrive tomorrow (i.e. seatpost, clamp, and saddle). I ended up having to switch from a Hope Seatpost Clamp to a Salsa version. Still silver in color. no worries. I won't have to look at a "naked" bike frame anymore!

I am still waiting on a "Chris King" headset to truck to a bike shop to get the other items installed that I posted earlier (i.e. BB, Crank, Front and Rear Derailler). The headset is supposed to arrive Tuesday, July 10th. Here is a pic (i am getting the silver one)

I am planning on riding Burchfield Trail tomorrow, which is located in Holt, Michigan (basically Lansing). Going to pound on the ole Trek 4500. The Trek i own weighs in at 34 pounds, but it really doesn't owe me anything. I have put that thing through some SERIOUS abuse.

Dang it!!!!! I just received and e-mail yesterday morning that the parts I previously posted are on a "short delay". Apparently the hope seatpost clamp is on backorder. Grrrrrrrrrrr.... My butt is pissed.



i am heading to a bike shop thursday to have some items installed on my bike that i purchased through the establishment (if everything shows up!). I talked to the owner, and the following parts are there and ready for install:



Crank Brothers TI Bottom Bracket:



This puppy looks wicked! I know ya aren't going to see it, but its important to have this Bracket to install:





The Crank Brothers Stainless Steel Crank! The bike shop owner that purchased this for me claims that he has it sitting in a glass case at the entrance, and everyone is going NUTS over it. I can't wait to see it in person. The owner also stated that it gets passed around to all the employees, and they are very envious of it! KICK BUTT! I ended up purchasing and trying this crank for a couple of reasons. First - I love Crank Brothers! I can't imagine a better or more reliable peddle. Second - i love how sick this crank looks! The stainless steel look is priceless! On to the deraillers!!!

So... i should be all set for deraillers.
