Pain Haven

Pine Haven trail in Midland, Michigan.....


A previously favorite local trail, so it holds some sentimental value for me.. I used to ride this trail A LOT, but then a differnt local trail really got re-vamped and is awesome (City Forest).

The entrance has a nice map setup - but if you haven't ridden the trail before, it can be a smidge confusing. Here is the Trailhead:


There is a tube at the entrance for donations.. Leave some Ca$h to help the trail!

The trail has a number of really challenging but cool looking river/creek crossings.


Also on the trail are some good up and overs, tight single track, and tough uphills. At the .84 mile marker, there has been a large tree obstructing a portion of the trail for a while.....

I plan on sending the trail coordinator the new about the tree - but maybe I will even see if I can cut the thing up... I will ask for his approval of course!
